Wedding at Certaldo Alto, Florence, Tuscany, Italy

We are at Certaldo, a fascinating medieval hamlet in the heart of the Val d'Elsa.

Certaldo is without a doubt one of the most charming towns in Tuscany, situated between Florence and Siena.

Its name comes from the Latin term “Cerrus Altus”, which means “a rise covered in oak trees” and its origins date back to Etruscan times.

The civil ceremony was held Palazzo Pretorio, this palazzo can be considered as the symbol of Certaldo, with a clock tower and the coats of arms in glazed terracotta, marble and pietra serena stone.

Each coat of arms represents the families of the vicars that lived and governed here.

Really a place full of history and charm today a special location for the wedding of this beautiful Australian couple.

The photo shooting started just a few minutes before the ceremony began with the last part of the couple's preparations at the Antica Torre del Borgo where the couple stays, just in the front at the Town Hall.

At the end of the official part, photos with only the couple in the streets of the Borgo and then in the countryside, the light was really beautiful for our photos.

The rest of the party was held at the restaurant "Il Vicario" right next to the town.
