A Fairytale in Umbria: Jenny & Alex’s Dream Wedding at Villa San Crispolto.
After months of meticulous planning and anticipation, Jenny and Alex’s dream of an Italian wedding finally came to life.
Travelling all the way from Canada bringing together Jenny’s proud Irish roots and Alex’s Canadian heritage this incredible couple chose the heart of Italy to celebrate their love.
Just a few minutes outside of Perugia, tucked away in the breathtaking Umbrian countryside, sits the enchanting Villa San Crispolto. Perched elegantly on a hill, the villa offers a view that takes your breath away: a stunning panorama of the lake framed perfectly by rows of timeless, silver green olive trees. It was the ultimate backdrop for a truly special day.
The entire event unfolded within the beautiful grounds of the villa. The day began with the preparations inside the romantic, historic chapel of the small borgo, where anticipation and excitement filled the air.
Once ready, it was time for the main event. Under the warm Italian sun, Jenny and Alex exchanged their vows during a deeply moving symbolic ceremony held in the lush villa gardens, surrounded by their closest family and friends.
Following the ceremony, the celebration moved poolside for a vibrant Italian aperitivo. Guests mingled while enjoying refreshing glasses of the classic Aperol Spritz and tasting delicious, authentic local artisan gelato a perfect treat for a summer afternoon.
Right before dinner, the energy went through the roof with a spectacular Prosecco tower. Jenny and Alex took center stage, laughing as they poured the sparkling wine, overflowing into the stacked crystal coupes for their cheering guests.
The wedding dinner was a beautiful affair, kicking off with heartfelt speeches, lots of laughter, and enthusiastic toasts raised with chilled glasses of Limoncello.
During dinner, we sneaked away with the newlyweds for a private photo session during the golden hour. The warm, glowing Umbrian light was pure magic, wrapping the couple in a soft radiance and giving their portraits an incredibly romantic, timeless feel.
As the night progressed, the celebration continued with the traditional cutting of the cake, a lively bouquet toss, and finally, Jenny and Alex’s romantic first dance as husband and wife.
